Why I do not support Kagan for Supreme Court

I have been doing more and more reading and some research on Obama's Supreme Court Nominee.

I've come to the conclusion that she would be a bad pick for the court, .

She has the qualifications to serve on the court, I have no problem with her qualifications.

I DO however have a problem with her thinking that the Government CAN ban books.

Here's why I disagree with this.

This goes against everything the U.S. constitution stands for. Freedom of Speech. One of the things that this country was founded on... But yet here we are saying this is wrong, or you have to print according to what we want you to read. Right now people can dissent, or agree and write just about anything.

Let me use the 'climate change' or example, and this is not to debate that subject but using it as a prime example

Right now you can get books that support climate change, or you can get books that support that the global warming climate change is a hoax, or grossly misrepresented by false data. Either way those books are available. But should censorship by the government go through I think its safe to say based on the current administration what books will be banned, and if we have a change in political party will those books become 'legal' and the opposite censored. Lots of problems here.

I know some schools have banned books from their libraries, but its not the same. And if there is required reading in class where a parent objects to a book, like Harry Potter series, there is always an alternative given.

Pamphlets printed with corporate funds should be censored? So who says what is acceptable and what is not acceptable.

And how long before this gets into our public schools and churches?

And what constitutes as material that can be banned.

She did soften her answer, but I feel she did so only to appease Justice Roberts and Scalia.

I am not thrilled with someone who thinks that they can dictate or try to tell the government what can and can not be published.

My biggest fear is that this is heading to banning Christianity as a religion. I know I'm getting ahead of the game here, but looking at the Bible and prophecies in the Bible, it will eventually become illegal to be a Christian. And a law like this would pave the way to possibly ban the Bible from Print.

Sorry but her stance that the government can ban books, doesn't sit well with me.

Another freedom being taken from us, or the government trying to take another freedom from us.
